Mission

L’Eixida focuses its efforts on the implementation and reproduction of an alternative model of economy and governance to capitalism focused on self-management and inter-cooperation. Our mission is to propagate this alternative model in our region and make the Social and Solidarity Economy an increasingly real and tangible option within our territory, and our society in general.

Vision

Ensure the future of the cooperative fabric in the region. Offer support at all times to new initiatives that arise from cooperativism and the Social and Solidarity Economy in our territory. Consolidate, strengthen and connect the existing cooperative ecosystem. Intercooperate with organizations in the city to promote cooperativism and the Social and Solidarity Economy (Ateneu Cooperatiu del Vallès Occidental and Teler Cooperatiu – XES). Collaborate with institutions so that the cooperative and Social and Solidarity Economy model becomes the economic and cultural model of reference for the entire Vallès.

Values

Cooperativism
Faced with a world where capital is the root of individualism and competitiveness, our cooperative structure allows us to act outside of these dynamics and, therefore, an attempt to partially isolate ourselves from their harmful consequences. The cooperative organization equalizes us as workers and helps us build everything from the collective, being fully responsible for controlling our work and at the same time, unfailingly transferring this vision to other areas of our lives and the environment.
Community

The imposition of capitalist values in our Western society has directly and indirectly produced the destruction of feelings of community belonging. Today our towns and neighborhoods are spaces devoid of solid community networks than they were a few years ago. It is becoming increasingly difficult to create cooperative ecosystems, community support networks and other forms of collective life due to the atomization of our Western societies. Workdays of eight hours or more, anti-immigration policies and discourses, or the establishment of platform capitalism are just some examples of factors that make it difficult to create community life. Faced with this, we want to completely turn the situation around by promoting community dynamics and mutual support to combat all these problems together. The community is a source of relationships around a life that must be common by default, only by coming together as a community and through its practice, will we be able to face the capitalist system. The new society we aspire to must be built around the concepts of community and mutual support, which is why this is a core value of our project.

Feminism

The productive model and business relations that prevails in our society are mainly based on a patriarchal vision that acts as an alienating agent in all companies and institutions.

Feminism is the lever of change necessary to politically and culturally combat the repressive mechanism applied by patriarchy in the work and institutional environment. Through techniques such as facilitation and from its own governance, L’Eixida fights to place care, conciliation, people’s lives; reproductive work, at the center of its operational structure and in a deeper reading of what feminism means as a political tool, we understand that without the incorporation of feminism as a structuring value, the practice of cooperativism cannot be carried out effectively. For a cooperativism worth living!

Innovation

Innovation is a value historically closely associated with neoliberalism. Most companies integrate it into their values section and implement it in their annual programs, especially within the technology sector but not only. However, this implementationWhat they do about innovation through investments has the ultimate purpose of increasing the economic benefits of the owners, they are not investments in innovation with a social purpose.

On the other hand, the freedom to belong to a model of economy where private economic benefits are not the driving force and purpose of the system must allow us to commit to innovation from a perspective of absolute freedom . We must return innovation to where it belongs, which is not competitiveness but researching solutions and ways out of the impositions and repressions that most people in the world suffer in order to become a freer and more supportive society.
